********************************************* * Razorback Radio News - Electronic Edition * * (c) September 1995 * ********************************************* Annual meeting - 1st Thursday of September Regular meetings - 1st Thursday of each month Informal Lunch meeting - every Thursday Operation SKYWARN - whenever necessary!! Meeting ------- The next ARCUA meeting takes place on Thursday, September 21 at 6:45 in Bell 291. ARRLWeb ------- The ARCUA Web page (http://www.uark.edu/studorg/w5ym/) has undergone some minor revisions. Not to worry, the link to the Dilbert Zone is still there. In particular, follow the link to the ARRLWeb. The League finally has a page of their own and it's very professional. Credit should go to the Boston ARC and WY1Z for maintaining the old page for the past year until the League could get it's own. Thanks ------ A big Woooo Pig! to Dr Charlton K5GOE and Dan K5FXB for finishing the DC bus at W5YM. They even let your editor watch. The Astron power supply is now on all the time in order to keep the battery charged. Another Woooo Pig! to George Tatge WB5SRY. Mr Tatge has once again helped us with the club computer and even went so far as to loan us some parts. Thanks to all. W5YM-L ------ As mentioned previously, all subscriptions to W5YM-L expired on September 1. Due to a software glitch, some subscribers who *did* return their renewal cards were dropped. As a result, those people are receiving this issue of RRN. If you were inadvertantly dropped and wish to re-subscribe (or wish to continue recieving Razorback Radio News), please email plaws@comp.uark.edu. 73 DE W5YM =========================================================================== Considering joining the ARRL? If you do, make sure you do it through ARCUA. Why? Because the League lets us keep $5 from every new member that joins. We get $2 for every renewal, too. In addition to QST, widely viewed as the best amateur radio journal on the market, ARRL membership gives you important benefits like inexpensive equipment insurance, a Field Organization helping hams in every state and a voice in amateur radio related affairs in Washington DC. Please contact the treasurer 3 months in advance of your renewal date. =========================================================================== Razorback Radio News is a publication of the Amateur Radio Club of the University of Arkansas, Inc.
